The ribbed barrel of this ballpoint pen is produced of the precious, reddisch brown wood Pernambucco. This type of wood is extremely hard and durable, and correspondingly difficult to work. Due to the natural  differences in grain and colour, every writing instrument in this collection is unique.

The fluting - the filigree groove structure - is the defining design element of the Classic line. The writing instruments in the series are available in solid 925 sterling silver, in a completely platinum-plated finish or with a finely fluted barrel made of ebony, pernambuco, grenadilla or macassar wood. A characteristic from this wood type is that it has a dark color, with lighter brown tones.
