This ballpoint pen by Montblanc is dedicated to John F. Kennedy. From 1961 onwards, the young American president brought a fresh breeze to the White House and impressed the world with his charisma. The barrel of this writing instrument is made of precious resin. Its deep blue colour refers to both Kennedy’s time in the U.S. Navy and the famous Ivy League style. The shiny fittings are platinum-plated. On the clip is an engravement of the initials JFK.

In collaboration with "Best Buddies", Montblanc launches a new writing instrument dedicated to John F. Kennedy. Best Buddies was created by Anthony Shriver, the nephew of J.F.K. to help children and adults with disabilities. Buying this fountain pen thus contributes to a better world. 



With its burgundy colour (the colour of Burgundy wine) and gold coated fittings, this writing instrument expresses the glamour and optimism of Kennedy's days. A new addition to the Great Characters collection by Montblanc. This time, a tribute to Walt Disney, who's name is forever connected to the art of animation video and the American film history. An imperium of unthinkably big proportions is the result of his progressiveness and inventive methods of animation and film making.



The colors of this ballpoint pen refer to the original poster of "Steamboat Willy" (1920), the character that later on became known as Mickey Mouse. The entire pen consists of subtle hints that refer to Mickey Mouse as well as Walt Disney. In the cap of the pen you will find the signature of Walt Disney, and multiple silhouettes of Mickey Mouse's face are placed on the black-colored body of the pen. To top it off, there are coordinates engraved in the pen. These coordinates are a tribute to the place where a lot of Disney's imperium all started: the garage of his uncle.

In honour of Elizabeth Taylor, one of the most popular stars in Hollywood films during the 1950's, Montblanc created the Muses Elizabeth Taylor Special Edition. Her goddesslike beauty has been reflected in this luxurious writing instrument that has been crafted with special attention to detail.



The body is covered with a dark violet marbleised lacquer in hommage to Elizabeth Taylor’s legendary eyes, as well as her favourite colour, creating a contrast with the platinum-coated fittings.



The cap top is decorated with a Montblanc emblem in precious resin. The cone of the ballpoint pen recalls with its geometric engraving a typical jewellery pattern of the 1950s. Elizabeth Taylor’s passion for jewellery served as inspiration for the ring-shaped clip, which attracts attention with its shape.

In 2021, Montblanc pays tribute to the visionary Enzo Ferrari. As both motor racing driver and entrepreneur, he founded the legendary Scuderia Ferrari and established a global automotive empire whose name has become synonymous for superb quality a passion for speed.

The writing instrument is made from red precious resin, the edition symbolizes the beginning of Enzo Ferrari´s passion for motor racing. Its color is inspired by the special Color "Rosso 70 Anni" which is a special red color developed when the Scuderia Ferrari celebrated its 70th birthday representing various iconic red tones throughout the years.

The cap top is crowned with a Montblanc emblem embedded in a metal grid on a yellow surface, paying homage to birth town Modena. The back of the cap shows the prancing horse, the famous emblem of Ferrari cars.

The ruthenium-coated clip in metal is adorned with a famous quote by Enzo: “You cannot describe passion, you can only live it.” The cone shows two important dates in the early career of Enzo Ferrari.

The Writers Edition 2013 pays tribute to the French novelist and playwright who contributed an opus of nearly 100 novels and plays to world literature of the 19th century - Honoré de Balzac. Inspired by the Dandyism of the 19th century and the elegance of Balzac, the precious black resin and grey lacquer of the barrel, with its guilloché refinement, references the typical cutaway favoured by refined Parisian gentlemen. While the oversized shape of the pen mirrors Balzacʼs bold stature, the clip embellished with turquoise lacquering on its top symbolises the author’s walking cane. The platinum and gold-coated rings refer to the different classes that emerged in French society in the early 19th century - often a central theme in the works of Balzac.

Montblanc Great Characters Andy Warhol, Special Edition The Great Characters Edition of 2015 is honoring the most outstanding POP-art artist Andy Warhol.

 

He was most famous for a huge variety of artistic techniques like drawing, printing, photography, filming and writing. The design reflects some of his most famous works. The design of the Writing Instruments is inspired by A. Warhol's Artwork "Campbell's Soup Cans" with the colors of the Edition referring to the colors of one interpretation of the Campbell's soup cans. 

 

The collection is in blue precious resin and the clip is a reference to a silk-screening squeegee and the shape of the cap and cone of the fountain pen and rollerball symbolize a can.

The Beatles are one of the most famous rock bands of all time. They became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. The members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.



In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as 'Beatlemania'. As the group's music grew in sophistication, led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideas shared by the counterculture of the 1960s.



The clip of this special pen symbolises the iconic moustache of the Beatles on their portrait. The colourful stripes on the lacquered cap and barrel pay tribute to the costumes they wore on the album covers of 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Love Me Do'.

Sing, O muse, of the rage of Achilles, son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Greeks.



This is the famous opening sentence of the Iliad, the classical Greek epic poem by Homer (8th century BC). To Homer, the founder of Western literature, Montblanc dedicated the Writers Edition of 2018. The barrel of this impressive ballpoint pen has the shape of a horse, thereby referring to the Trojan horse. The Iliad tells how the Greek soldiers conquered Troy by hiding inside a big, wooden horse, which was presented to the Trojans as a gift. Once the horse was taken inside the city, the Greeks got out and overpowered their surprised enemies. Thereby, this writing instrument also is an ode to Odysseus, the great mythological heroe who came up with the idea of the Trojan horse.



The shape and size of this unique ballpoint pen are based on the iconic 149-model of Montblanc. The clip has the shape of a spear, which refers to the Trojan War and the famous armor of Achilles. Both the clip and the fittings are champagne gold coated. The barrel of the pen is made of matt black precious resin, and on the end it has the Montblanc emblem.

Montblanc has added a new pen to their Writers Edition collection, this time it is a honour to the famous writer Rudyard Kipling. One of his well-known writings is The Jungle Book. With this pen Montblanc celebrates the intellect and stylistic brilliance that earned Kipling literary fame early on and kept him in the public consciousness until today. 



The top of the cap is engraved with a beginning and an end of a poem in addition to that are also the initials R.K engraved in the cap. The top of the pen is crafted to resemble the head of a wolf. The wold head showcases Montblanc's innovative spirit. The first US edition of The Jungle Book inspired the green colour of this writing instrument as the cover was green. The barrel and the cap are made of precious resin. 

This limited edition pen by Montblanc is an homage to Victor Hugo. He was a romanticist writer in the 19th century, and is nowadays known for writing, among others, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. As stated by Montblanc, not only Hugo's work, but also his existence has shaped the French nation. Therefore, Montblanc has decided to create unique instruments dedicated to the "literary genius".



The pen is made of precious resin in the color black. Moreover, the silver accents are finished with a palladium layer to ensure high quality. This rollerball pen can be refilled with these refills.



Additionally, decorative expertise has been adapted onto the pen's surface. The pen's body contains a delicate artwork that has been shaped into a relief of the gothic arches from the Notre-Dame. The clip has been crafted into the clapper of the church's bell.

Robert Louis Stevenson, born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1850, had two great desires: for freedom and for the distraction of immersing himself in another world. He composed essays and travel accounts as well as his legendary adventure stories peopled with striking characters whose names send a shiver down the spines of readers around the world: Long John Silver, Captain Flint, Jekyll and Hyde. The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Robert Louis Stevenson is dedicated to this imaginative storyteller.

The novel “Treasure Island” inspired many design details of the edition. The overall shape of the writing instrument and the rings on the cone combine to create an impression of a historic, extendable spyglass.

The black precious resin barrel is decorated with engraved crosses, including a larger “X” like the one marking the location of the treasure on a map. Vertical lines that bring to mind the planks of the schooner “Hispaniola” and a traditional sea chest adorn the cap of the Writers Edition. Behind the platinum-coated clip, the lines converge in a compass rose, while the clip imitates the shape of a belaying pin, to which the lines of a ship’s rigging would be secured. The cap top is crowned by the Montblanc emblem emblazoned with the pirate’s symbol, a skull and crossbones, elevated at its centre. The cap ring is adorned with an engraving of Stevenson’s signature alongside the publication date of his first work “The Pentland Rising”, 1886. The years of Robert Louis Stevenson’s life, 1850-1894, are engraved on the cap.
